A deep dive into the Los Angeles Kings' WHL prospect pool.
Welcome to this edition of the 2026 WHL Prospect Pools. Throughout the 2026 off-season, we will be looking at current or recently graduated WHLers who have been drafted or signed by NHL clubs. Today's organization is the Los Angeles Kings.
Last season, three members of the Kings organization played in the WHL. Two were drafted in 2025, while the remaining member was selected this past June. Here is a look at the three prospects.
Starting with Vojtech Cihar, he joined the Kelowna Rockets after the World Juniors and recorded 31 points in 31 games. The 19-year-old forward also had a dominant playoff run, with 13 points in nine games. Cihar has already signed his entry-level contract and could be headed to the AHL next year.

The 19-year-old defenceman split the season between the Rockets and Vancouver Giants, where he recorded 29 points in 59 games. Next season, Sharpe is headed to the NCAA to join St. Cloud State University.
Finally, the newest member of LA's system is defenceman Giorgos Pantelas. The 18-year-old was drafted in the fifth round this year after posting 37 points in 68 games with the Brandon Wheat Kings. Pantelas will have a new WHL home next season after being traded to the Penticton Vees during the off-season.
