Welcome to this edition of the 2026 WHL Prospect Pools. Throughout the 2026 off-season, we will be looking at current or recently graduated WHLers who have been drafted or signed by NHL clubs. Today's organization is the Florida Panthers.
The Panthers prospect pool features just one player who played in the WHL last year, that's Shea Busch of the Everett Silvertips.
In 2026, the Panthers added Jonas Kemps out of the USHL, Kemps is set to play for the Seattle Thunderbirds in 2026-27.
Busch was highly efficient during the regular season despite battling injuries, tallying 18 points in just 12 games. Busch elevated his game even further in the postseason, registering 13 points in 16 playoff games to help drive Everett to a WHL Championship.
Kemps represents a massive, high-upside swing for the Panthers' blue line. Standing at an imposing 6-foot-6 and 195 pounds, the physical defenseman spent last season developing with the Chicago Steel.
