A deep dive into the Vegas Golden Knights WHL Prospect Pool.

Welcome to this edition of the 2026 WHL Prospect Pools. Throughout the 2026 off-season, we will be looking at current or recently graduated WHLers who have been drafted or signed by NHL clubs. Today's organization is the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Golden Knights selected Penticton Vees defenceman Sean Burick, Portland Winterhawks defenceman Will McLaughlin and Prince Albert Raiders forward Jonah Sivertson in the 2026 NHL Draft, adding them to the WHL group that features Alex Weirmaier.

Selected in the third round (95th overall) of the 2026 NHL Draft, Burick is an absolute giant. Clocking in at an imposing 6-foot-8 and 214 pounds. Burick tallied four points in 50 games.

Drafted in the fourth round (113th overall), Sivertson brings a coveted combination of size and finishing ability. The 6-foot-3, 194-pound forward had a highly productive 2025-26 campaign for the Prince Albert Raiders, tallying 24 goals and 53 points in 66 games.

Taken in the fifth round (159th overall), McLaughlin adds yet another big body to the pipeline. The 6-foot-3 Portland Winterhawks blueliner plays a game built around reliability and high-end defensive awareness.
