A deep dive into the Washington Capitals' WHL Prospect Pool.

Welcome to this edition of the 2026 WHL Prospect Pools. Throughout the 2026 off-season, we will be looking at current or recently graduated WHLers who have been drafted or signed by NHL clubs. Today's organization is the Washington Capitals.

The Capitals had two prospects feature in the WHL last year. They also drafted a player who will be making their WHL debut this season. Here is a look at Terik Parascak, Lynden Lakovic and Logan Stuart.

Kicking off the list is Parascak, who was drafted in 2024. The 20-year-old forward once again lit up the league with the Prince George Cougars, as he recorded 79 points in 61 games. Over his career, Parascak played 192 regular-season games, in which he scored 104 goals and recorded 266 points.

Up next is Lakovic, who missed the majority of the campaign with an injury. The 19-year-old forward was drafted in 2025 and recorded 29 points in 22 games as captain of the Moose Jaw Warriors. Lakovic is already signed and could be headed to the AHL next year.

The final player is Stuart, who was drafted this past June. The 18-year-old forward is set to play his rookie WHL campaign with the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Last season, Stuart played for the U.S. National Development Team and has committed to the University of Denver for the 2027-28 campaign.
