The 2026 Winter Olympics Gold Medal Game will feature Canada taking on the USA.

After an exciting tournament, we now know who will be facing off for Gold at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Just like in 2002 and 2010, Team Canada will face off against Team USA for the ultimate prize. The game is expected to feature plenty of emotion and physicality as these two rivals go head-to-head once again. 

Nine WHL alumni have the chance to capture Gold if Canada wins on Sunday. There were over 30 former WHLers who competed in the 2026 Winter Olympics, with Germany's Leon Draisaitl leading the pack. Here is a look at the nine Canadians who have the chance to capture a Gold Medal. 

  • Mark Stone- Brandon Wheat Kings
  • Sam Reinhart- Kootenay Ice
  • Shea Theodore- Seattle Thunderbirds
  • Brandon Hagel- Red Deer Rebels
  • Travis Sanheim- Calgary Hitmen
  • Seth Jarvis- Portland Winterhawks
  • Josh Morrissey- Prince Albert Raiders/Kelowna Rockets
  • Logan Thompson- Brandon Wheat Kings
  • Darcy Kuemper- Spokane Chiefs/Red Deer Rebels

Team Canada will take on Team USA in the Gold Medal Game of the 2026 Winter Olympics on Sunday. The two nations also met in the Women's Gold Medal Game, which resulted in an overtime victory for the Americans. Game time is set for 5:10 am PT.
