The 18-year-old goaltender is on his way to Prince George.
The Prince George Cougars added an experienced WHL goaltender to their organization as they have acquired Peyton Shore from the Red Deer Rebels. In exchange for the 18-year-old, the Rebels received a sixth-round pick in 2027. Shore played two games during the regular season in which he allowed two goals on 28 shots.
Shore is entering his third WHL season. Over his career, he has posted a 11-19-1-1 record with one shutout. Last year, Shore made his playoff debut, making four saves in a relief appearance versus the Prince Albert Raiders.
Based on Prince George's roster, Shore will be sharing the crease with goaltender Alexander Levshyn. The 20-year-old had a successful rookie campaign as he posted an 11-9-2 record last season. The Cougars open their season on September 18 at home against the Penticton Vees.
