Jonas Woo's 2025-26 season has become historic. Thanks to his two-point performance on Friday, the 19-year-old has set the Medicine Hat Tigers record for points by a defenceman in a single season. Cliff Lane set the previous record of 82 during the 1975-76 season.
Through 54 games, Woo has scored 28 goals and recorded 84 points. He also sits tied for fifth in the WHL this season with 56 assists. Woo is scheduled to head to the NCAA next year, where he will join Arizona State University.
Over his career, Woo has played 257 regular-season games. During that time, he has scored 50 goals and recorded 185 points. Woo was part of the Medicine Hat team that went to the Memorial Cup Final last season, where he recorded two points in two games.
