The Prince George Cougars announced on Monday that forward and fan favourite Koehn Ziemmer has been loaned back to the team from the Los Angeles Kings after the completion of NHL pre-season.
Ziemmer, a Mayerthorpe, Alta. native, has played all 183 career games in the WHL with the Cougars and recorded 91 goals and 98 assists in that span. Drafted fourth overall in the 2019 WHL draft, Ziemmer came into the league alongside third overall pick of the same year in Keaton Dowhaniuk.
After putting up 41 goals and 48 assists in 2022-23, the Cougars mainstay was selected 78th overall in the 2023 NHL Draft by the Los Angeles.

In 2023-24 Ziemmer was named an assistant captain, and while he won't wear a letter for 2024-25, he will be a major part of the veteran group and contributor to the team. This is also due to the fact that he played just 23 games last season due to injury.
Ziemmer will make his WHL season debut October 8th when Prince George takes on the Portland Winterhawks.
