Liam and Markus Ruck will be returning to the WHL next year.

Two of the WHL's top scorers are returning for the 2026-27 season. According to Mike Morreale of NHL.com, Liam and Markus Ruck will be headed back to the Medicine Hat Tigers next year. Both players are draft-eligible and projected to be selected in the top 50 of the 2026 NHL Entry Draft. 

Liam Ruck is projected to be a first-round pick at the end of June. The 18-year-old winger finished second in WHL scoring this year with 104 points in 68 games. As for his playoffs, Ruck recorded 12 points in 14 games. 

Markus Ruck is projected to be an early second-round pick in this year's draft. The 18-year-old center led all CHL players with 108 points in 68 games. In the post-season, Ruck recorded 13 points in 15 games.
