Scott Ratzlaff and Terrell Goldsmith are the two newest WHLers to sign Entry-Level Contracts with their NHL-drafted teams. The Buffalo Sabres signed Ratzlaff, while Goldsmith inked his deal with the Utah Hockey Club. Both players were drafted in 2023 and are currently playing in the U.S. Division.

Drafted 141st overall, Ratzlaff has posted a 3-1 record with the Seattle Thunderbirds to start the 2024-25 season. Last season, he finished with a record of 21-26-1 and was named to the WHL US Division Second All-Star Team. Ratzlaff is currently a front-runner to represent Team Canada at this year's World Juniors and will be looking to add a second Gold Medal to his trophy case.

Goldsmith is currently in his first year with the Tri-City Americans after being traded from the Prince Albert Raiders before the season started. Drafted 102nd overall, he has played four games with the Americans and was named to the team's leadership group. In 189 WHL games, Goldsmith has 30 points, along with 287 penalty minutes.
