Welcome to THN's "WHL Standouts From The Week" article. In this weekly column, we highlight one player from each division who impressed over the last week. Here is a look at the four standouts from week 25.

Emmitt Finnie- Kamloops Blazers

Emmitt Finnie continued his scoring ways this week with seven points over his past three games. The Detroit Red Wings prospect has stepped up during his first season as captain, posting new career highs in goals, assists and points. Already signed to an ELC, do not be surprised to see Finnie get a PTO in the AHL after the season concludes.

Gavin McKenna- Medicine Hat Tigers

This past week was a historic one for Gavin McKenna. Not only did he set a new career-high with seven points in a game, but he pushed his point streak to 38 games, which is the second-longest in the CHL since 1996. Based on his play this season, McKenna looks poised for a long playoff run, which, at this rate, could produce some additional historic moments.

Josh Zakreski- Portland Winterhawks

The past week was a productive one for Portland Winterhawks' Josh Zakreski. He recorded points in all three games and is currently riding a four-game point streak. If Zakreski can keep up his scoring ways, he should have no problem hitting the 70-point mark for the first time in his WHL career.

Evan Gardner- Saskatoon Blades

Evan Gardner was a brick wall for the Saskatoon Blades. The Columbus Blue Jackets prospect went a perfect 3-0 and posted a save percentage of .964. Come playoff time, Garnder is going to be key for Saskatoon if they have eyes on yet another run to the WHL Final.
