A look at one player from each division that stood out during Week 7 of the 2024-25 WHL season.

Welcome to THN's "WHL Standouts From The Week" article. In this weekly column, we highlight one player from each division who impressed over the last week. Here is a look at the four standouts from week seven.

    Cameron Schmidt- Vancouver Giants

All Cameron Schmidt has done this season is score goals. The 2025 NHL Draft prospect had another stellar week, scoring five times in two games, including a hat trick against the Moose Jaw Warriors. Now up to 17 goals in 15 games, Schmidt is on pace to smash Ty Ronning's franchise record of 61 goals set during the 2017-18 season.

    Brayden Edwards- Lethbridge Hurricanes

Brayden Edwards' consistency is what makes him so dangerous. The 19-year-old had seven points in three games this week and now has points in each of his last six games. On pace to set a new career high this year, Edwards is taking full advantage of what will be his final season in the WHL.

    Carter Bear- Everett Silvertips

Carter Bear continues to produce for the Everett Silvertips, putting up back-to-back three-point performances in the last week. The 2025 NHL Draft prospect leads the Silvertips with 27 points in 16 games and was recently selected to Team CHL's roster for the inaugural CHL USA Prospects Challenge. Currently projected to be a second-round pick in June, Bear is on pace to become just the second player in Everett's franchise history to eclipse the 100-point mark in a season.

    Brady Birnie- Swift Current Broncos

For the second straight week, Brady Birnie is the standout of the week from the East Division. For the second straight week, Birnie recorded a hat trick and finished the week with seven points in three games. Amongst the WHL league leaders with 26 points in 16 games, Birnie has become one of the most dangerous goal scorers in the Eastern Conference.
