Hockey Canada has revealed their full development camp roster for the 2024 World Under-17 Challenge and 23 WHL hopefuls are looking to claim their spot in November, and don their country's colors on an international level when the global competition heads to Sarnia, ONT.

Goaltenders: Ryley Budd (Saskatoon Blades), Carter Esler (Spokane Chiefs), Peyton Shore (Red Deer Rebels)

Defencemen: Carson Carels (Prince George Cougars), Griffin Darby (Portland Winterhawks), Landon DuPont (Everett Silvertips), Ryan Lin (Vancouver Giants), Brek Liske (Everett), Giorgos Pantelas (Brandon Wheat Kings), Daxon Rudolph (Prince Albert Raiders), Keaton Verhoeff (Victoria Royals)

Forwards: Riley Boychuk (Prince Albert), Brody Gillespie (Spokane), Beckett Hamilton (Red Deer), Joe Iginla (Edmonton Oil Kings), Jaxon Jacobson (Brandon), Caelan Joudrey (Wenatchee Wild), Ty Meunier (Prince Albert), Brett Olson (Vancouver), Cruz Pavao (Tri-City Americans), Mathis Preston (Spokane), Liam and Marcus Ruck (Medicine Hat Tigers).

Of these players selected, expect to keep an eye on DuPont (1st overall 2024) as well as Jacobson (5th overall 2023), the Ruck brothers (9th and 21st overall 2023, respectively), and Rudolph (1st overall 2023). Canada is looking to build an impressive team this upcoming winter, and it should not be a surprise if it has no real weak links.

Practices will run from July 19-23 in Oakville, ONT. while final selections will be made immediately following.

The World Under-17 Challenge takes place from November 1-9 in Sarnia, ONT.
