Tij Iginla was drafted sixth overall by the Utah Hockey Club during the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.

The Utah Hockey Club have signed Kelowna Rockets forward Tij Iginla to a three-year, entry-level contract. Iginla was the club's first-ever draft pick, going sixth overall in the 2024 NHL Draft. The Utah Hockey Club, which moved from Arizona this summer, is stacked with current and former WHL talent, including Justin Kipkie, Terrell Goldsmith, Kevin Connauton and Dylan Guenther.
Iginla had a draft year to remember. Not only did he record 47 goals and 84 points in 68 games, but he also helped Team Canada win Gold at the 2024 U18s. Tij also now holds draft bragging rights over his dad, Jarome Iginla, as he went five spots ahead of his Hall of Fame father.
