The 2024 CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game is complete, with Team Red defeating Team White 3-1. Overall, it was an exciting game that featured plenty of highlights from WHLers on both teams. Here is a look at four WHL players that stood out in Moncton.

    Team Red

    Colton Roberts

Colton Roberts was noticeable from start to finish. He finished the game with two primary assists and led Team Red with four shots on net. Ranked 24th by Central Scouting, the Vancouver Giants defender showed not just how strong he can be in his own end, but that he isn't afraid to jump up in the rush and create offensively.

    Lukas Matecha

Only one goaltender was perfect at the Top Prospects Game: Lukas Matecha. The Tri-City Americans goaltender stopped all 19 shots he faced, preserving Team Red's 3-1 lead. Ranked ninth among goaltenders by Central Scouting, the Czechian goaltender showed he can be calm under pressure and preserve a lead against some of the best in the CHL.

    Team White

    Tij Iginla

Tij Iginla was arguably the most impactful player in the game. While he didn't produce a point, he was named the Player of the Game for Team White while finishing the game with two shots. From his puck decision-making to his ability smooth skating, the Kelowna Rockets forward lived up to the hype and showed why Central Scouting has him ranked 11th among North American Skaters.

    Berkly Catton

Berkly Catton showed why he was named captain of Team White for the event. He led by example at both ends of the ice, finishing the night with two shots and going six for 11 in the faceoff dot. Ranked ninth by Central Scouting, the Spokane Chiefs center did not disappoint as he showed why he should hear his name early at the 2024 NHL Draft.
