    The Silvertips and Cougars remain near the top of the league entering week nine.

    The Everett Silvertips don't know how to settle down.

    As week eight winds down, the Canadian Hockey League releases their top 10 rankings to showcase the top teams around the country.

    Everett Silvertips (5 --> 4)

    Everett continues to move up the rankings, currently sitting pretty at first in the WHL, as well as on a three-game win streak. Skyrocketing up the league's point leaders is 2025 NHL Draft prospect Carter Bear, who has 11 points in his last five games (eight of them on a three-game heater) and is now second place in the entire league.

    Prince George Cougars (4 --> 6)

    Two words: Koehn Ziemmer.

    It bears repeating, as the Los Angeles Kings draft pick is (still) on a tear, recording 12 goals on a seven-game streak as he shoots up the WHL's leaderboard. As a team, Prince George as recorded at least a point in eight of their last nine games, protecting their second place spot in the Eastern Conference.
