Welcome to this edition of the 2025 WHL Prospect Pools. Throughout the 2025 off-season, we will be taking a look at current or recently graduated WHLers who have either been drafted or signed by NHL clubs. Today's organization is the Vegas Golden Knights, which has three WHLers in its prospect pool.

The Capitals have built a WHL prospect pool filled with high-scoring forwards. In 2023, they selected Spokane Chiefs winger Andrew Cristall, while in 2024, Washington added Prince George Cougars winger Terik Parascak. As for the 2025 draft, the Capitals used the 27th overall pick to select forward Lynden Lakovic, who played last season for the Moose Jaw Warriors.

Starting with Cristall, he wrapped up his historic WHL career this past year. The 20-year-old recorded 132 points in the regular season before posting 41 in 19 playoff games. Listed at 5'10", 183 lbs, Cristall is also the only player in the 21st century to record 400 career regular season points in the WHL.

Up next is Parascak, who made his AHL debut at the end of the season. The 19-year-old recorded 82 points in 59 games and posted over 50 assists for the second straight season. Listed at 6'0", 181 lbs, Parasack is projected to be a key piece of the Cougars' offence this season.

As for the most recent draft pick, that would be Lakovic, who has already signed his entry-level contract. The 18-year-old had 58 points in 47 games and participated in the CHL USA Prospects Challenge. Listed at 6'4", 201 lbs, Lakovic could be amongst the league leaders in goals this season.
