Welcome to this edition of the 2025 WHL Prospect Pools. Toronto have four intriguing WHL prospects in its system. The Maple Leafs selected Lethbridge Hurricanes defenceman Noah Chadwick in 2023, while drafting Edmonton Oil Kings forward Miroslav Holinka and Spokane Chiefs defenceman Nathan Mayes in 2024. Toronto also added Prince George Cougars forward Borya Valis as a free agent, signing him to an entry-level contract at the end of last season.

Starting with Chadwick, he had a strong campaign as the Hurricanes captain. The 20-year-old recorded 53 points in 66 games and led Lethbridge to the Eastern Conference Final. Listed at 6'4", 207 lbs, Chadwick is most likely headed to the AHL next season.

Next up is Holinka, who was impressive as a rookie. The 19-year-old recorded 45 points in 47 games and was part of Team Czechia at the 2025 World Juniors. Listed at 6'1", 185 lbs, Holinka is also projected to make the jump to pro in 2025-26.

Last up of the drafted prospects is Mayes, who played a key role in Spokane's run to the WHL Final. The 19-year-old recorded a career-high 27 points in 56 games and posted a plus/minus of +15 in 20 playoff games. Listed at 6'4", 201 lbs, Mayes may be the only Maple Leafs prospect to return to the WHL next season.

To wrap things up, Valis wrapped up his WHL career with yet another impressive campaign. The 21-year-old posted 80 points in 66 games and made his AHL debut late in the year. Listed at 6'2", 192 lbs, Valis is projected to spend next season with the Toronto Marlies.
