New York Rangers vs. Carolina Hurricanes Game 5 Prediction

Can the Rangers close out the series in NHL 24?

Rangers vs. Hurricans Game 5 Sim

The fifth edition of our New York Rangers versus Carolina Hurricanes simulation, today we predicted the results of Game 5 in NHL 24.

With the Rangers up 3-1 in the series, they were able to close it out in this simulation with a 2-1 win.

Our series simulation predicted Carolina winning in seven games, while our Game 4 prediction accurately predicted a Hurricanes win.

Despite Filip Chytil and Blake Wheeler both being on the ice for pre-game skate their status was still uncertain, so we kept the same Rangers lineup as Game 4 with Jonny Brodzinski on the fourth line.

The Hurricanes kept the same lineup as Game 4, with Frederik Andersen in net.

Neither goalies faced many shots, but Igor Shesterkin made a few highlight reel saves to keep the Rangers in it.

Former Hurricane Vincent Trocheck scored the series winning goal, Alex Wennberg scored the first Ranger goal off a forced turnover.

The Carolina fourth line continued to play well, Stefan Noesen scored their lone goal.
