The Vancouver Canucks, Philadelphia Flyers and Florida Panthers claimed players off NHL waivers on trade deadline day.
The Canucks claimed center Curtis Douglas from the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Flyers claimed center Luke Glendening from the New Jersey Devils. And the Panthers claimed Cole Reinhardt from the Vegas Golden Knights. Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported the waiver claims.
Douglas, 26, is a 6-foot-9 center with two assists, 32 hits and 92 penalty minutes in 29 NHL games this season.
Glendening, 36, has four assists in 52 games this season, and he excels at faceoffs, with a 51.7 faceoff win percentage this season and a 55.6 career win percentage.
Reinhardt, 26, has three goals and seven points in 44 games this season. He had 32 points in 45 games for the AHL's Belleville Senators last season.
Five other players cleared waivers on Friday. They include Evgenii Dadonov and Maxim Tsyplakov of the Devils, Garrett Wilson of the Flyers and Alexander Holtz of the Golden Knights.
Right winger Mathieu Joseph cleared unconditional waivers. The St. Louis Blues terminated his contract, and he's signing for the rest of the season with the Los Angeles Kings, according to Friedman.
