Recent Devils trade acquisition Maxim Tsyplakov is on NHL waivers, along with six others on four teams. Blues right winger Mathieu Joseph, meanwhile, could become a UFA on Friday.

The New Jersey Devils, Vegas Golden Knights, Tampa Bay Lightning and Philadelphia Flyers placed a combined seven players on NHL waivers one day before Friday's trade deadline.

The St. Louis Blues, meanwhile, placed right winger Mathieu Joseph on unconditional waivers. If Joseph clears waivers after 24 hours, the Blues can terminate Joseph's contract, making him a UFA.

New Jersey placed Maxim Tsyplakov, Evgenii Dadonov and Luke Glendening on waivers.

Vegas waived Alexander Holtz and Cole Reinhardt, while Tampa Bay placed Curtis Douglas on the wire. And Garrett Wilson, who's signing an NHL contract with the Flyers, went on waivers as well.

Joseph, 29, cleared waivers last week and was assigned to the AHL's Springfield Thunderbirds. He has two goals and nine assists for 11 points in 39 NHL games this season.

If Joseph were to sign another NHL contract before Friday's 3 p.m. ET NHL trade deadline, he would be eligible to play for that team in the playoffs.

Holtz, 24, is a right winger with nine points in 28 games this season. Reinhardt, 26, is a left winger with seven points in 44 games.

Douglas, a 6-foot-9, 25-year-old center, has two assists and 92 penalty minutes in 29 NHL games this season.

Wilson, 34, last played in the NHL in 2018-19. The left winger has 16 points in 51 games in the AHL this season.

Devils Place Low-Producing Forwards On Waivers

The Devils, meanwhile, placed a recent trade acquisition on the waiver wire.

New Jersey acquired Tsyplakov, 27, from the New York Islanders on Jan. 27 in exchange for Ondrej Palat, a 2026 third-round draft pick and a 2027 sixth-round pick.

Since then, the right winger had no points and an average ice time of 8:26 with New Jersey. Overall, this season, Tsyplakov has one goal and an assist in 36 games. And he still has one year left on his contract with a $2.25-million cap hit.

Last season, Tsyplakov had 10 goals and 35 points in 77 games with the Islanders. It was his first NHL campaign, having played in the KHL beforehand.

Dadonov hasn't recorded one point for the Devils this season, either. He's played 17 games and averaged 11:06 of ice time. He's missed time due to injury and being a healthy scratch.

Last summer, the 36-year-old left winger signed a one-year contract with a $1-million cap hit and $2.25 million of performance bonuses. He already earned $250,000 for playing 10 NHL games, and he would get another $250,000 if he reaches 20 and 30. He would have received the same amount for reaching 40 and 50 games played, but there aren't enough matches left in the season for that.

In 2024-25, Dadonov had 20 goals and 40 points in 80 games with the Dallas Stars.

Glendening, 36, has four assists in 52 games and was a healthy scratch for the last six games. He's on a one-year contract worth $775,000 after playing the previous two seasons with the Tampa Bay Lightning. He's a defensive-minded center who has a career faceoff win percentage of 55.6.

If Tsyplakov, Dadonov and Glendening clear waivers, the Devils can assign them to the AHL's Utica Comets.
