    Despite their (historical) success, the Toronto Maple Leafs haven't had a ton of superstar individual talent over the years, says Ken Campbell.

    There are still people walking among us who remember when the Toronto Maple Leafs were a perennial and legitimate Stanley Cup contender. It hasn't always been like this.

    From the 1930s through the '60s, the Maple Leafs were as successful as any other franchise. In fact, there was a time when the Leafs and Canadiens were neck-and-neck in terms of the number of Stanley Cups they had won.

    Well, Montreal has won 10 Cups since the Leafs last captured a championship in 1967, so that's no longer the case. So it should come as no surprise that their Mount Rushmore is dominated by players in the distant past.
