James van Riemsdyk will play in his 1000th NHL game Tuesday night at TD Garden as the Boston Bruins take on the Edmonton Oilers.

The Boston Bruins are back at TD Garden Tuesday night to host the Edmonton Oilers for a 7:30 p.m. puck drop, marking the second game of a back-to-back.

The B’s put together a dominant 4-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs Monday night at Scotiabank Arena in one of their most complete, defensively sound performances of the past few months.

Pavel Zacha scored twice in his first multi-goal game of the season, Jake DeBrusk had two points with a goal and an assist, Morgan Geekie collected his fourth goal in three games and Jeremy Swayman was nearly unbeatable with 32 saves.

The Bruins last played the Oilers Feb. 21 at Rogers Place where they won 6-5 in overtime after giving up a 4-2 lead in the third period.

Per Bruins coach Jim Montgomery, the team will have a “couple game-time decisions” against the Oilers. Montgomery said his top three lines will remain the same, as well as the D-core.

Hampus Lindholm is still out of the lineup with a lower-body injury, and rookie Mason Lohrei has been holding it down on the second pair with Brandon Carlo in his place.

“I don’t have an official game time when he’ll be back, but it’s getting close,” Montgomery said of Lindholm’s return.

James van Riemsdyk is skating in his 1000th NHL game Tuesday. The veteran forward signed with Boston in July and has 38 points (11 goals, 27 assists) through 59 games this season.

“Incredibly bright person and bright player. Understands the game at a high level and has done a lot to help build our offensive game offensively,” Montgomery said of van Riemsdyk.

Linus Ullmark will get the start against Edmonton. The goaltender has a 2.80 goals against average and .910 save percentage through 30 games. Ullmark last played Saturday in the 5-1 loss against the New York Islanders and made 26 saves.
