The Boston Bruins have announced that goaltender Joonas Korpisalo is the team's nominee for the 2025 Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy.
The Bill Masterton Trophy is awarded annually to the NHL player who "best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey." Each team has one player nominated for the award, and the winner will be announced at the end of the season.
Korpisalo, 30, was acquired by the Bruins this past off-season from the Ottawa Senators in the big Linus Ullmark trade. This was after Korpisalo had a 21-26-4 record, a .890 save percentage, and a 3.27 goals-against average in 55 games for the Senators this past season.
