The Boston Bruins have announced that forwards Patrick Brown and Vinni Lettieri have been placed on waivers. This comes after the Bruins extended their losing streak to eight games in their March 29 matchup against the Detroit Red Wings.
Brown, 32, has one assist, 43 hits, and a minus-2 rating in 13 games this season for Boston. Down in the American Hockey League (AHL) as the Providence Bruins' captain this campaign, he has 16 goals and 44 points in 52 contests.
Lettieri, on the other hand, has recorded two goals, one assist, and a minus-8 rating in 19 games this campaign for Boston. Like Brown, he has made a big impact when with Providence this season, posting 20 goals and 48 points in 46 games.
With the Bruins placing two of their forwards on waivers, it will be fascinating to see if more roster moves are on the way for the Original Six club.
