Boston Bruins prospects Fraser Minten and Fabian Lysell are two of the club's top prospects. The Original Six club is hopeful that both of the promising youngsters will emerge as key parts of their forward group as they embrace the next chapter of their franchise history.
During the Bruins' April 8's contest against the New Jersey Devils, both Minten and Lysell showed up for the Original Six club and had strong games.
Boston Bruins' David Pastrnak Makes NHL History
The Boston Bruins defeated the New Jersey Devils by a 7-2 final score on April 9. It was a big offensive night for the Original Six club, and, not surprisingly, David Pastrnak was a notable reason for it.
At the 19:07 mark of the second period, Lysell recorded his first NHL point by picking up the primary assist on Casey Mittelstadt's goal. Lysell's assist was a nice one, too. At the blue line, Lysell showed good patience while stickhandling the puck before passing it to Mittelstadt. From there, Mittelstadt fired a long-range wrist shot that deflected in.
As for Minten, he scored his first goal as a Bruin at the 6:55 mark of the third period, and it was a beauty. After picking up the rebound in front, Minten did a spin with the puck and beat Devils goaltender Jacob Markstrom top shelf with a hard wrist shot.
Seeing Minten and Lysell both contribute offensively is certainly very encouraging for the Bruins. It will be fascinating to see how they both build on their solid performances against the Devils from here.
