During the third period of the Boston Bruins' Feb. 23 contest against the Anaheim Ducks, Brad Marchand left after losing an edge and colliding hard into the boards. However, he did return to the game shortly after.
While speaking to reporters, Marchand provided an update on how he was feeling, and it was undoubtedly encouraging.
"I feel fine," Marchand said. "It was a mandatory check-in. Whatever you have to do. I'm good."
It is great to hear that No. 63 is fine, especially when noting that it looked like it could be bad when he crawled his way to the bench. However, based on Marchand's comments, he is okay, and he will now look to help the Bruins bounce back after their latest overtime loss from here.
In 58 games this season, Marchand has 20 goals, 45 points, and a minus-7 rating.
