The Boston Bruins have recalled forward Fabian Lysell and defenseman Michael Callahan from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Providence Bruins.
Lysell, 22, made his NHL debut with the Bruins back on Dec. 28 against the Columbus Blue Jackets before immediately being re-assigned to Providence. During that matchup, the 2021 first-round pick had a plus-1 rating in 11:32 of ice time.
Lysell is one of the Bruins' top prospects, so fans will naturally be excited to see what he can do during his latest chance with the NHL club. In 51 games this season with Providence, he has 11 goals, 34 points, and a plus-11 rating. This includes two goals and five points in his last six contests.
Callahan, 25, has appeared in his first 11 NHL games this season with Boston, posting zero points, 10 blocks, and a minus-2 rating. With Providence this campaign, the 6-foot-2 defenseman has one goal, seven assists, and a plus-4 rating in 43 games. He was also named to the AHL All-Star Game.
