Jordan Oesterle's time with the Boston Bruins is officially over. The left-shot defenseman has been claimed off waivers by the Nashville Predators.
When it was announced that the Bruins placed Oesterle on waivers, it seemed possible that a team could take a chance on him. This is because he was a pretty solid depth defenseman for the Bruins this season and has an easily affordable $775,000 cap hit until the end of next season. Now, he is heading to Nashville, where he should get more consistent playing time.
Oesterle appeared in 22 games this season with the Bruins, where he had one goal, six points and a plus-3 rating. Coincidentally, his final game as a Bruin was against the Predators on March 4, where he scored his lone goal with Boston.
