The Boston Bruins got their selling started on March 4 when they traded Trent Frederic and Providence forward Max Jones to the Edmonton Oilers. However, with the Original Six club not holding a playoff spot and underperforming this campaign, they likely aren't done yet.
Due to this, let's discuss three Bruins who could be on the move next.
Geekie has been one of the Bruins' rare bright spots this season. While this is the case, the pending restricted free agent is continuing to create chatter in the rumor mill with the deadline being three days away.
If the Bruins do not see Geekie as a long-term part of their future, now would be the time to trade him. His trade value is at its highest due to his excellent play down the stretch. He has 10 goals and 14 points in his last 18 contests and 19 goals and 32 points in 57 games this campaign.
With Frederic, who was ice-cold all season for Boston, getting the Bruins a second-round pick and a fourth-round pick, Geekie could be a very valuable trade asset for Boston.
Carlo is another Bruin who has been generating interest. The right-shot defenseman has been a key part of Boston's blueline over the last several years, so it would be significant if they dealt him. However, with teams always willing to pay extra for big right-shot defensemen who play top-four minutes, the Bruins could get an offer they can't refuse.
Carlo is signed until the end of the 2026-27 season and carries an affordable $4.1 million cap hit. Thus, they don't need to rush a move centering around Carlo, but he could be a piece that helps Boston land multiple assets that help their future.
With Frederic being dealt, fellow pending unrestricted free agent Brazeau should also be. The 27-year-old winger has cooled off down the stretch but could still generate interest from contenders looking to add more size and secondary scoring to their bottom six. This is especially so when noting he has a bargain $775,000 cap hit.
Brazeau has appeared in 56 games this season for the Bruins, where he has 10 goals, 10 assists, and 86 hits.
