
Boston Bruins prospect Frederic Brunet has been invited to participate in the 2025 NHLPA Rookie Showcase, which takes place on Sep. 3 in Virginia.
Seeing Brunet get invited to the NHLPA Rookie Showcase is understandable, as he took a nice step forward in his development this past season. In 69 games in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Providence Bruins in 2024-25, he posted career highs with five goals, 20 assists, and 25 points in 69 games. This was after he had two goals and 12 points in 48 games with Providence in 2023-24.

Brunet was rewarded for his strong play, as he was called up to Boston's roster for their 2024-25 season finale against the New Jersey Devils. During that matchup, he recorded one hit, one takeaway, and five blocks.
Brunet is one of the Bruins' brightest defensive prospects, and he should get more chances at the NHL level next season because of it. Now, due to his solid play, he has been invited to the NHLPA Rookie Showcase.
