Who doesn't love Bruins and Maple Leafs playoff hockey?

Who doesn't love Bruins and Maple Leafs playoff hockey?

The Boston Bruins are gearing up for their Game 2 matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Bruins are entering this contest with clear momentum, as they defeated Toronto by a convincing 5-1 final score in Game 1. Everything went right for Boston, but now their goal will be to translate it over to Game 2.

Bruins forward Pat Maroon was one of the many bright spots for the Bruins in Game 1. The "Big Rig" certainly lived up to his nickname, as he absolutely leveled Maple Leafs defenseman Timothy Liljegren into the Bruins' bench.

While Liljegren was on the bench, Bruins forward Jakub Lauko expressed clear excitement about Maroon's hit and gave the Leafs defender some playoff hockey chirping.

Lauko shared with reporters after the game what he said to Liljegren after Maroon's magnificent hit.

"You know, he (Liljegren) was there after, and he was hanging there a little long. So I was just like, ‘Get out of here.'

Lauko later praised Maroon for his big hit and discussed the power forward's immediate impact in Boston.

"It’s huge. When Patty made that hit, the mood on the bench and everything kind of rose up. It was a great moment. That’s why Pat’s here. He’s great at what he does. He’s hitting people hard, and he’s a really good player in these scenarios.”

Maroon, Lauko, and the rest of the B's will now look to keep their physicality up against the Maple Leafs in Game 2. If they play like they did in Game 1, they will have a great shot of extending their lead over Toronto to 2-0.
