The Bruins are reportedly linked to this Capitals forward.

The Boston Bruins have yet to make a trade, but that should change with it being deadline day. The Bruins would benefit by making some additions to their group, so now's the time to get something done.

According to The Fourth Period, they have a new trade target on their radar, as they are one of the clubs linked to forward Max Pacioretty. The Fourth Period also noted that the Florida Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, Los Angeles Kings, and New York Rangers are in the mix for the veteran forward.

It would be strange to see Pacioretty in a Bruins jersey, as he is, of course, most remembered for his time with the Montreal Canadiens. Naturally, during that time, there was some bad blood because of the two clubs' rivalry. However, plenty of time has passed since then, and the Bruins could use a player of his skill level in their middle six.

Pacioretty, 35, has a full no-movement clause (NMC), so he will decide if and where he gets moved. While the Panthers are rumored to be his preferred destination, he could be open to joining the Bruins, as they are among the NHL's top teams.

Pacioretty has appeared in 26 games this season with the Caps, posting three goals and 15 points.
