The Boston Bruins have made a notable roster move, as they have recalled defenseman Mason Lohrei from the Providence Bruins.

Seeing the Bruins recall Lohrei is entirely understandable. Andrew Peeke left Game 2 for the Bruins early after suffering a finger injury. Because of this, bringing up another depth option in Lohrei makes sense.

Lohrei, 23, had a solid first season with the Bruins in 2023-24, posting four goals and 13 points in 41 games. Down in Providence this season, he has thrived, recording one goal and 16 points in 21 games.

We will need to wait and see if the Bruins dress Lohrei for Game 3 against the Toronto Maple Leafs following this recall from here.
