The Bruins' defense is getting more depth.
The Boston Bruins are getting one of their defensemen back, as the Original Six club has recalled Derek Forbort from the Providence Bruins.
Forbort, 32, joined Providence on an LTI conditioning loan on April 16. While with Providence, the left-shot defenseman appeared in two games, posting two penalty minutes.
Forbort was placed on LTIR by the Bruins back in early March. General manager Don Sweeney shared that the veteran defenseman was dealing with two serious injuries throughout the season. Thus, seeing him return to Boston's roster this postseason is a nice surprise.

While Forbort has been recalled, it has already been confirmed that he won't dress for the Bruins in Game 2.
In 35 games this regular season with the Bruins, Forbort had four assists, 68 hits, and a plus-8 rating.
