Boston Bruins prospect Dans Locmelis has been impressing early on during his amateur tryout with the Providence Bruins. During the club's April 11 contest against the Hartford Wolf Pack, the 2022 fourth-round pick scored a goal and recorded three assists.

Locmelis followed this performance up with another excellent one on April 12 against the Belleville Senators. During the matchup, the promising Bruins prospect recorded two assists before scoring the overtime winner for Providence with an incredible shot.

With this monster night, the 21-year-old forward now has two goals, eight points, and a plus-4 rating in just four games since joining Providence.

Locmelis' entry-level deal with the Bruins starts next season, and he certainly will be a player to keep an eye on at training camp. The Jelgava, Latvia native is undoubtedly showing off his offensive potential with Providence right now, and it is certainly encouraging for a Bruins club that desperately needs more young talent.

It will now be fascinating to see how Locmelis builds on his impressive hot streak with Providence from here.
