The Boston Bruins have re-assigned forward Jeffrey Viel to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Providence Bruins.
Viel, 27, was recalled by the Bruins on Nov. 18 before their matchup against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The enforcer made his Bruins debut against Columbus and was certainly noticeable during it. He dropped the gloves with Blue Jackets enforcer Mathieu Olivier and had three hits on the night.

However, after his scrappy debut, Viel is now heading back to Providence. In 14 games this season with the AHL squad, he has two goals, two assists, 39 penalty minutes, and a plus-3 rating.
