This Boston Bruins star is not on the club's training camp roster... for now.

Today is significant, as the Boston Bruins are officially beginning their training camp. This is a crucial time of year, as the Bruins now must get into game shape with the regular season just around the corner. In addition, several Bruins players are pushing for spots on the NHL roster, so this should be an incredibly entertaining training camp in Boston.
The Bruins have now released their training camp roster, and it has one notable player missing from it: star goalie Jeremy Swayman.
This was expected, as Swayman remains a restricted free agent this late into September. In addition, general manager Don Sweeney told reporters today that Swayman decided to wait until a contract is finalized before reporting to camp.
There is potential for Swayman to get a new contract before the end of training camp. Sweeney told reporters that he and the star goalie are in "constant communication." The hope is that these talks can quickly lead to a contract, as the regular season is rapidly approaching.
However, for now, the Bruins will have Joonas Korpisalo and Brandon Bussi as their top two goalies at training camp.
