This former Bruins defenseman is expected to miss a good chunk of time.

While speaking to reporters, including The Athletic's Harman Dayal, Vancouver Canucks coach Rick Tocchet shared that former Boston Bruins defenseman Derek Forbort will be out week-to-week. Reporter Irfaan Gaffar also reported that Forbort could miss over a month of action.

Forbort, 32, has appeared in four games this season with the Canucks, where he has one assist, one hit, and a minus-2 rating. He joined the club this past off-season after spending the previous three seasons with the Bruins.
