This former Bruins prospect will continue his career in the KHL.

Longtime Boston Bruins goalie prospect Kyle Keyser will continue his career overseas. Kunlun Red Star of the KHL announced that they have signed Keyser to a one-year, one-way contract.

Keyser, 25, spent each of the last five seasons with the Bruins organization. Over that span, the Coral Springs, Florida native spent time both in the AHL with the Providence Bruins and ECHL. However, due to the Bruins' strong goaltending depth, he never got the chance to play an NHL regular-season game with Boston.

The Bruins elected not to re-sign Keyser this offseason. When noting that Brandon Bussi and Michael DiPietro passed Keyser on the depth chart, this decision was understandable.

Keyser primarily spent this season down in the ECHL with the Maine Mariners, posting a 5-8-2 record, a .868 SV%, and a 4.36 GAA. He also played in just five games for Providence this past season, recording a 1-2-2 record, a .873 SV%, and a 3.45 goals-against average.
