This former Boston Bruins defenseman will officially miss the entire 2024-25 season.

St. Louis Blues general manager Doug Armstrong announced on Tuesday (Sept. 3) that former Boston Bruins defenseman Torey Krug will have surgery on his left ankle to address pre-arthritic changes. In addition, Armstrong confirmed that Krug will miss the entirety of the 2024-25 season.
Back in July, the Blues announced that this could be a possibility, and now it has, unfortunately, come to fruition.
Krug, 33, appeared in 77 games last season with the Blues, posting four goals and 39 points. His 2023-24 campaign also included a five-assist game against the Montreal Canadiens.

In 523 games over nine seasons as a Bruin, Krug had 67 goals, 270 assists, and 337 points.
