This former Boston Bruins star is dealing with an injury.
Former Boston Bruins goalie Linus Ullmark did not dress for the Ottawa Senators' matchup against the Los Angeles Kings today (Oct. 14). In response to this, the Senators recalled goalie Mads Sogaard before the game.
Before the matchup, Senators head coach (and former Bruins forward) Travis Green had this to say about Ullmark's injury:
"Linus was stiff (Sunday). We don't feel right playing him. We want to check him out further with our doctors, and we want to err on the side of caution."
With Ullmark being the Senators' new starting goalie, they will surely be hoping that the 2023 Vezina Trophy winner will not need to miss more time from here. He is a significant part of the Senators' roster and will play a big reason if they end up making the playoffs this campaign.
In two appearances this season with the Sens, Ullmark has a 1-1-0 record, a .914 save percentage, and a 2.58 goals-against average.
