Multiple teams have hired new coaches since the end of the 2024-25 regular-season, but the Boston Bruins have still not decided who their next full-time bench boss will be. However, it appears that their coaching search will be coming to an end soon.
According to TSN's Pierre LeBrun, Bruins management will have final interviews with their coaching candidates next week and pick their new head coach following that.
"On Bruins' coaching search, my understanding is final interviews will be conducted next week and then a decision to come after that," LeBrun reported on X.
LeBrun also reported that Marco Sturm, Jay Woodcroft, Mitch Love, Luke Richardson, Jay Leach, and Joe Sacco are among the names the Bruins have interviewed for their head coaching position.
It is understandable that the Bruins have been exploring all of their options before making their decision on who their next full-time head coach will be. However, with this update from LeBrun, it seems that their pick should be on the way shortly.
It will be interesting to see who the Bruins end up hiring as their next bench boss from here. No matter who gets the job, they will undoubtedly have a challenging task ahead of them trying to get the Original Six club back on track after a terrible 2024-25 season.
