Tyler Bertuzzi discussed his postgame trash talk with Brad Marchand.
The Boston Bruins suffered a tough 3-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 2. Because of this, they are now heading to Toronto with a 1-1 series tie, which is far from ideal.
After the Bruins' loss to the Leafs in Game 2, captain Brad Marchand and Maple Leafs forward Tyler Bertuzzi were seen trash-talking each other before leaving the ice. The former teammates had a heated battle all game, so it was not all too surprising to see. This is especially so when noting that both are notorious agitators.
Reporters later asked Bertuzzi about what was said between him and Marchand. The 29-year-old winger said this on the matter: "That’s between me and Brad."

A reporter then mentioned that Bertuzzi called Marchand a 'good guy' earlier in the season and asked how much he believes the Bruins captain will test that this series. Bertuzzi responded by saying, "I’ll stick with my word. It’s playoff hockey. It’s going to keep going."
As Bertuzzi noted, this kind of chippy play and chirping will continue from here. Tempers are boiling between the two big-name forwards, which should only heighten as the series rolls on. It should make for some electrifying hockey.
The Bruins will now look to get things back on track and beat Bertuzzi and the Leafs in Game 3 on Wednesday night.
