This Boston Bruins PTO addition is continuing to make his case for a contract.

The Boston Bruins defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 4-1 on Tuesday (Oct. 1). Overall, the Bruins' performance was solid, and many of their players stood out.
Bruins professional tryout (PTO) addition Tyler Johnson was undoubtedly one of them.
Johnson was the hero of the game for the Bruins, as he scored the game-winning goal on the power play during the third period. The 34-year-old forward received a perfect feed in front by Pavel Zacha and quickly one-timed it home for the goal.
With Johnson still looking to secure a contract from the Bruins, scoring a game-winning goal should help his chances. However, besides scoring against the Flyers, he was incredibly noticeable throughout the contest. He recorded three shots and showed more confidence with the puck.
If Johnson is going to make the Bruins' roster, he needs to continue to play like this. He has been a pleasant surprise this pre-season for the Bruins, so at this juncture, it would not be particularly surprising if he landed a deal for the campaign.

It will now be interesting to see how Johnson responds to his latest pre-season performance.
