This Bruins forward could be sitting against the Panthers.
Yesterday's (March 26) Bruins practice caused quite the chatter amongst fans. Head coach Jim Montgomery made the club do sprints after the team performed poorly during a drill and expressed apparent frustration to the media following it.
While yesterday's practice focused largely on Montgomery's frustration, another notable development occurred. James van Riemsdyk was the extra forward during it. If this indicates the Bruins' lineup for tonight's (March 26) matchup against the Florida Panthers, JVR will be a notable scratch. However, that is, of course, subject to change.
Van Riemsdyk returned to action against the Philadelphia Flyers in the Bruins' last game after missing a few contests due to illness. However, based on the lines from the last practice, he is in danger of missing at least another game.
van Riemsdyk has gone ice-cold down the stretch. Since Feb. 19, the 34-year-old winger has just one assist over his last 15 games. This was after he had four goals and eight points in his previous seven games.

The Bruins need JVR to regain his form, especially at this crucial point of the season. If he does get scratched, here's to hoping that it ends up being the wake-up call that gets him to bounce back. He has the potential to heat up, given how well he has played for the majority of this season.
