Boston Bruins star goalie Jeremy Swayman has had an excellent 2023-24 season. In 39 appearances, he has a 22-8-8 record, a 2.57 GAA, and a .917 SV%. He's easily been one of the best goalies in the league, but he has struggled a bit lately.
Over his last three appearances, Swayman has had under a .900 SV%. The same can be said for five out of his last eight starts. With this being such a critical point of the season, the Bruins need the Alaska native to rebound and end the campaign on a high note.
The Bruins are one of the many teams currently aiming to secure the top spot in the Eastern Conference. The New York Rangers, Florida Panthers, and Carolina Hurricanes are all right behind Boston, so the Bruins need to pick up as many wins as they can from here. To help with this, they will need Swayman to be on his A-game. When he is, the Bruins are very tough to beat.
It will be interesting to see how Swayman performs for the remainder of the campaign. While his recent play has left some concerned, there's no question that he will eventually bounce back when noting how good of a goalie is. The real question is when.
