Leon Draisaitl is continuing to build on his outstanding career.

Leon Draisaitl is continuing to build on his outstanding career.

In a must-win Game 6, the Edmonton Oilers delivered big time, defeating the Vancouver Canucks by a 5-1 final score. With it, the Oilers have forced a Game 7, where anything can happen.

A major reason for the win was because of Leon Draisaitl's play. The superstar center picked up two helpers and entered the NHL playoff history books because of it.

First, Draisaitl became the fourth player in Stanley Cup Playoffs history to record 60 assists in 60 or fewer games. The only other players who achieved this feat are Wayne Gretzky (43 GP), Connor McDavid (56 GP), and Mario Lemieux (58 GP).

Draisaitl extended his playoff-opening point streak to 11 games, tying former Bruins forward and NHL legend Jaromir Jagr.

Jagr achieved an impressive 11-game postseason-opening point streak in 1996 with the Pittsburgh Penguins. When noting that Jagr is one of the best players the NHL has ever seen, Draisaitl tying him is a big accomplishment.

Draisaitl, 28, has been nothing short of sensational this postseason, posting eight goals and 23 points in just 11 games. With it, he has hit 100 career playoff points in just 60 games.
