In the latest episode of 32 Thoughts: The Podcast, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported that he believes the Boston Bruins have informed Joe Sacco that he will not be the team's head coach moving forward.

"In Boston, since our last pod, I believe Joe Sacco was told that he will not stay as the head coach of the Boston Bruins," Friedman said. "I'm under the impression that he won't be staying."

The Bruins had still been considering Sacco as an option for their vacant full-time head coaching job while they continued their search. Yet, with this update from Friedman, it appears that the Bruins will be going in a different direction for their next head coach.

Sacco, 56, took over as the Bruins' interim head coach this season after they fired Jim Montgomery in November. In 62 games as Boston's head coach this campaign, he led the Original Six club to a 25-30-7 record.
