All eyes should be on this Bruins prospect next season.
The Boston Bruins have some promising prospects in their system. Among them is defenseman Frederic Brunet, as the 22-year-old blueliner just keeps getting better with each season that passes.
Brunet raised his value in the Bruins' prospect pool during the 2024-25 season, as he posted five goals and 25 points in 69 games with the Providence Bruins. However, as solid as he was that season, he took his game to a new level this campaign with Providence. In 65 games with Providence this campaign, the 2022 fifth-round pick recorded 12 goals, 24 assists, 36 points, and a plus-18 rating.
With Brunet continuing to trend in the right direction with his development, there is no question that he is a big breakout candidate for the Bruins next season. The left-shot defenseman just keeps getting better, and he should be a real candidate to make their NHL roster out of training camp.

There is a lot to like about Brunet. He plays a strong all-around game, and the potential for him to become a key part of the Bruins' blueline is there. Because of this, it would not be shocking in the slightest if he cements himself as an NHL-caliber blueliner for Boston next season.
In 183 games with Providence over four seasons, Brunet has recorded 19 goals, 56 assists, 75 points, and a plus-43 rating.
